SLA 3D Printer

The AAU production lab also has access to an SLA printer. A resin-based printer that allows for much higher precision and quality print. There are various resin types available for this printer such as: flexible, black, white, clear and durable resin.

A step-by-step guide to printing with the resin printer can be found here: https://support.formlabs.com/s/article/Starting-a-print-SLA?language=en_US

Once the print has finished, it first needs to be washed for excess resin and the lastly cured to increase the strength of the material. The two stations used for this can be seen in the image below with the curing station to the right and the washing station to the left.

The wash times for each specific material can be found in the following link: https://support.formlabs.com/s/article/Form-Wash-Time-Settings?language=en_US

NOTE: REMEMBER TO CLEAN THE BUILDPLATE OF THE RESIN PRINTER AFTER EACH PRINT. THIS IS DONE USING THE BOTTLE OF ISOPROPANOL.
