SLA 3D printer & Wash/Curing Stations

The AAU production lab also has access to an SLA printer. A resin-based printer that allows for much higher precision and quality print. There are various resin types available for this printer such as: flexible, black, white, clear and durable resin. A step-by-step guide to printing with the resin printer can be found here:

Laser cutter

One of the most important pieces of equipment in the makerspace is the laser cutter. With this, prototypes can be cut and assembled in a much shorter time than for example a 3D printer. The laser cutter can cut various materials ranging from Nylon and acrylic to MDF, Plywood and Leather.

CNC Machine

The makerspace also has a Roland SRM-20 mini CNC machine that can be used to cut small models or it can be used to mill PCB traces and drill holes. This machine can run on conventional G-code and can run programs from most conventional CAM software such as: Solidworks and Fusion 360. For PCB manufacturing programs such as EAGLE and Flatcam can be used to design the routes.
