Strain gauges are used to measure strain in both materials and structural testing. They are positioned and bonded on the surface of the structure, where we are looking for measuring strain. Different types of strain gauges are used depending on the applied load to the specimen.

After bonding the strain gauges in the region of interest on the specimen(s), the strain gauges can be connected either to the spiders which are working with CATMAN Easy software or Q.brixx system which is coupled with GI.bench data acquisition software.
