Different types of dynamic and static tests, high-cycle fatigue, low-cycle fatigue, thermo-mechanical fatigue, fracture mechanics, crack propagation and growth studies are conducted in the mechanical test lab.
Moreover, various epoxy structures can be made in the ‘’epoxy room’’ and there is a high potential of designing and manufacturing a test setup in the ‘’Metal Workshop’’ depending on the necessity.
Epoxy Room
There is a possibility to manufacture different types of epoxy structures (with/without mold) in the epoxy room. This can be done first by laying down all the layers, doing the vacuum and then the infusion by injecting resin and as the last step, the structure is cured in the oven. Curing, for example, can be done at different temperatures by making a ramp program in the Memert oven.
