Theoretical nanophysics group

The Theoretical Nanophysics Group studies the electronic, optical and magnetic properties of new materials and nanostructures. We use tools from quantum mechanics and solid state physics to describe materials and their properties. The applications range from electronic devices such as transistors to optoelectronics like solar cells and photo detectors. Many projects focus on nanoscale materials such as two-dimensional semiconductors.
