For all users of our instruments and machines it is required that you have received training in how to use it and are instructed in what safety matters need to be followed, before you are allowed to operate the instrument and machine by yourself. 

In addition, you need to fill in a Workplace Permit (WPP) which is a document that includes a description of your intended work, procedures to follow and a risk assessment of the work.

If you are a student, the WPP needs to be approved and signed by your supervisor, and you need to always have it to ready (printed or digital). Before you start your work the WPP should be shown to one of the Lab-technicians. If your work includes work with chemicals, you may visit kemibrug.dk to get familiar with proper work procedure and risk assessments.

Furthermore, you need to have an insurance that will cover for any accidents during your stay in the Lab. In case you are a student or a visitor/guest, you need to settle this on your own. Are you an employee of AAU (Aalborg University), you are covered by the university.
