The nation-wide Danish company Adding Robotics - established just a few months ago – provide 100% independent strategic advice on robots to private and public organizations - in Denmark as well as abroad. Now Adding Robotics adds one of the founding fathers of Danish robotics Professor Ole Madsen, Aalborg University to the growing team.
Together with the other members of Adding's staff, Ole Madsen will share his extensive knowledge of cutting-edge technology to strengthen the implementation of robots. Along with his new position, Ole Madsen will maintain his relationship with Aalborg University.
"Ole Madsen will unquestionably further strengthen Adding Robotics' team, and we are very proud welcoming him onboard. Throughout his career, Ole Madsen has analyzed and expanded the field of production technology. Due to this, he is widely recognized for his ability to link companies' strategic visions with the deployment of innovative cutting-edge technology," says Lasse Thomsen, CEO of Adding Robotics.
"The potential for accelerate the spread of innovative automation solutions in both private and public organizations is tremendous. The advantages technological advancements bring have never been greater: cloud, IoT, Digital Twins, AI, cobots, etc. But understandably, it is difficult for many to keep up with the latest in robot technology and digitization. How do you decide when the possibilities are vast and constantly growing? Paradoxically, many decision-makers hesitate, and vital investments are thus postponed," Ole Madsen says.
According to Ole Madsen, the need for flexible automation solutions will increase in the years to come. Organizations need to be able to combat the increasing complexity which more and more companies face. The new game-changing technology is available here and now and those organizations that do not seize the opportunities seriously risk being lagged.
"I would like to be part of a dynamic team that can independently and clearly advise on how private companies and organizations can optimize their capacity, increase flexibility, and most optimally meet the sharpened sustainability requirements that will be increasingly important going forward, using digitization and robotics as tools," Ole Madsen says.
"My approach to robotics links growth-visions, business plans, and production technology. Rather than viewing robots as isolated projects where you jump from one project to another, robots should instead be top of mind in every boardroom– in both large organizations and SME companies. How can we create and realize an ambitious and long-term strategy with digitization and robots? That link: supporting decision-makers with a solid foundation has been the driving force throughout my career," Ole Madsen says.
"For many years, Denmark, with Odense as its flagship, has played a key role in the international top league of robotics nations. The success that Odense has created should be expanded regionally. In my new job as part of Adding, I would like to contribute to accelerating the spread of these solutions and thus do my part in paving the way for tomorrow's robot unicorns," Ole Madsen says.
